Jessica Ozalp, Advisor
Jessica brings more than 17 years of legal experience spanning the private and public sectors. She is licensed in Wisconsin and California and currently serves as Deputy General Counsel at a state agency. A proud Wisconsin Badger, she earned her J.D., M.A., and B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
Jessica began her career as a litigation associate with Axley Brynelson before serving as non-partisan counsel to the Wisconsin Legislature and later as Legal Counsel to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. After relocating to California, she practiced with two law firms advising education agencies on compliance, investigations, and governance, before returning to state-level service in 2025.
Beyond her professional practice, Jessica has held leadership roles with the American Inns of Court, Wisconsin Law Review, and Wisconsin Lawyer magazine, and has chaired committees with the National Conference of State Legislatures and the State Bar of Wisconsin. She has authored articles published in leading legal journals..
